Mr Ching Cheung Ying is a retired secondary school teacher at the Diocesan Boys’ School from 1984 to 2018. Ching now serves as the Vice Chairman of Sha Tin Arts Association and Director of Sha Tin Sports Association Limited.

Ching was an Elected Member of the Sha Tin District Council from 1985 to 2021 and was the Chairman of the same from 2020 to 2021. He was also a member of the Consultation Panel of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (2016-2021),  Council Member of the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre (2001-2007), Elected Member of the Regional Council (1995-1999), member of Arts Education Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (1997-1999), as well as member of the Antiquities Advisory Board (1996-1999). Throughout the years, Ching has devoted himself to the local arts and cultural development and actively involved in arts administration works in Hong Kong.

Ching now sits on the Board and servers as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Chung Ying Theatre Company.
