Established in 1979, Chung Ying Theatre Company (CYTC) is a reputed theatre organisation financially supported by the Government of the HKSAR and a Venue Partner of Kwai Tsing Theatre, dedicating to promote dramatic arts and paying special effort on educational and outreach programmes. CYTC is one of the first local theatre companies introducing “Theatre-in-Education” to Hong Kong.  We are now looking for high calibre professional to join our dynamic team.

Archivist

Duties:

1. Manage the day-to day operation of the Company archive, in
accordance with accepted standards and practices;

2. Implement and review procedures for acquisition, processing,
digitisation,and preservation of archival materials;

3. Develope and implement policies for the archives;

4. Appraise, process, describe and preserve archival materials in
all format;

5. Respond to enquiry and provide research service regarding
Chung Yings history and archives holdings;

6. Advocate and promote the archives service internally and
externally;

7. Provide assistance and advice to stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Degree holder or above preferable in archives and records
management,library science, or in related field;

2. Research skills, and experience of providing user services and
assisting researchers;

3. Computer literacy with an interest in applying digital technology
to archiving;

4. Good understanding of theatre production as well as local
performing arts field is a definite advantage;

5. Ability to work independently as well as in close collaboration
as part of a team;

6.      Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English.


Salary and Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Fringe benefits include rest days, public holidays, annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, medical insurance, employee’s compensation insurance and MPF.

Project Supervisor (3-Year Contract)

Duties:

1. Team leader of a community theatre project;

2. Ensure smooth implementation of project and quality on time
deliverables;

3. Oversee theatre workshops, community and school touring
theatre productions;

4. Monitor budget and prepare reports regularly;

5. Assist to follow up with sponsors and external partners;

6. Advise on promotion and brand building of the project;

7. Supervise team members. 

Requirements:

1. Degree holder or above in art administration/ cultural studies or
related 
disciplines;

2. At least 4 years of experience on art administration and /or
project management;

3. Strong interest in theatre and community arts;

4. Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and
English;

5. Self-motivated, organized and detail orientated;

6. Able to work independently and under tight schedule;

7. Reliable team member with good communication and
interpersonal skills;

8. Willing to work during weekends and public holidays.


Assistant Education and Outreach Officer

Duties:

1. Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties
to ensure 
smooth execution on children theatre courses and
productions;

2. Assist in student recruitment and handle enquiries;

3. Handle schedule of courses and prepare teaching materials;

4. Visit various centers to provide administration supports.

Requirements:

1. Degree holder in art administration, cultural studies or related
disciplines (applicant who does not have equivalent
qualification but possesses rich knowledge or experience in the
field of education centre operation may also apply with
provision of appropriate information);

2. Passion to work with children and youth;

3. Pleasant, flexible and with customer-oriented mindset;

4. Willing to work during weekends and public holidays.


Arts Administrator Trainee (16-Month Contract/Renewable)

Duties:

1. Assist in co-ordinating with internal and external parties to
ensure smooth execution on theatre education and community
projects;

2. Provide administration support in theatre workshops and
community theatre productions;

3. Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, budgets and reports;

4. Handle enquiries, support daily operation of the department.

Requirements:

1. Hong Kong permanent resident;

2. Interested in arts administration and community theatre and
has never worked as full-time staff in any arts organization;

3. Holder of a recognized university degree in Hong Kong or
equivalent (applicant who does not have equivalent
qualification but possesses rich knowledge or experience in the
field of performing arts may also apply with provision of
appropriate information);

4. Knowledge in Photoshop and Premiere Pro is a plus;

5. Pleasant, flexible and has good communication skills;

6. Willing to work during weekends and public holidays.


Assistant Education and Outreach Officer(Marketing)
(Part – time / 9-Month Contract)

Duties:

1.     Execute digital marketing plan;

2.     Manage different media channels including social media;

3.     Create content and work with various contractors;

4.     Perform simple video and photo editing.

Requirement:

1.     Higher Diploma or above in marketing, communication or
creative media;

2. At least 1 year of recent experience in digital marketing and/or
creative media;

3. Innovative, self-motivated and adaptable;

4. Proficient in Photoshop and Premiere Pro;

5. Immediately available is highly preferred.
